Managing Email Accounts in cPanel

BasicscPanel Webhosting

Overview

You can manage your existing email accounts via the Email Accounts menu in the cPanel interface. Upon opening the menu, a table will display all currently active email accounts. You can search for specific addresses using the search box or apply filters such as All, Restricted, System Account, or Exceeded Storage. The table shows the email addresses, any restrictions, and the storage usage for each account. By clicking on the column headings, you can sort and manage your accounts based on these parameters.

In the first column of the table, you can select and delete more email addresses by ticking off the checkbox and clicking on the Delete button.

Important: This action is permanent and cannot be undone!

If you want to create a new email address, click on the Create button and a new interface will appear. Here, you can set the account password, storage size, and any restrictions. To modify an existing account, click the Manage button next to the email address in the table, and you can update the account settings.

Direct Login to your Email Account

You can log in directly to any email account from the Email Accounts menu using token-based authentication, which bypasses the need to enter a password.

Click the Check Email button next to the email address. A new page will appear. Click Open to log into the webmail interface.

Configuring Email with External Clients

If you want to set up your email account with external clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, or Windows Mail, click the Connect Devices button. This will open a new page with all the necessary settings and configuration information. You can also email these instructions to any email address by using the Email Instructions option at the bottom of the page.
